The "platforming" IS the normalization of the hate speech. It is part and parcel to the systemic mediocritization of societal norms and standards. We all know hate speech and racist memes just as we know what hard porn and pedophilia is. We sure don't need the nightly network news or a Bill Maher to give those voices credibility by an unquestioned national exposure.
