We keep complaining about how our elected representatives are doing this and not doing that when it is we who are not doing anything but complaining. And doing nothing has been easy. We can find all sorts of reasons for doing nothing.
Our
representative system did not twist this way over night and it takes
time and caution to un-twist it. We are just beginning to open our eyes
to the ugly truth of our inattention. This is what we are dealing
with. Even a truck driver can find the time to write or make phone
calls or send some $$$$$ the direction of some organization or person
that touts a vision that speaks to her or him.
This is
why I'm starting this blog. In my view there is not a person with a
vision out there that speaks to me or anyone I know. So, I am going to
post my own.
I believe we need vision that comes in
the form of package of ideals that will improve the state of America in
economic, social, judicial, and political ways. Our Declaration of
Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights should be the very
foundation from which any legislation, law, rule and any program to
emprove and strengthen the lot of people and the Country as a whole.
"We are only as strong as the weakest among us!"
It
took us along time to get to this state of un-ease. It well take even
longer to get back on the path our founding fathers began over 200 years
ago.
